Vintage 1930's rolled gold Art Deco necklace featuring purple, clear and green glass beads. Rolled gold necklaces were popular from 1914 until the late 1940's. These necklaces were handmade, providing work for injured soldiers returning from the war. Rolled gold is a thin layer of gold on a base metal and fused together by heating.
