Limited Edition of 750 Pieces.
IWC Watch Pilot's Automatic Edition Laureus Sport For Good Limited Edition IW328101.
Since 2006, IWC Schaffhausen have released an annual special edition Laureus Sport for Good watch in aid of the foundation of the same name, a charity which supports more than 160 sports-based community programmes in over 40 countries. For 2021, the Swiss watch brand continues its support with the release of the IWC Pilot’s Automatic Laureus Sport For Good watch, a limited edition of 750 pieces that makes history as the manufacturer’s first pilots model engineered from blue ceramic. The dark blue case measures to 41mm in diameter and comes with a soft-iron inner case for resistance to magnetic fields and like all IWC Laureus Sport For Good watches, the case back is engraved with a design chosen from IWC’s drawing competition held every year.
For it’s 2021 edition, the IWC Pilot's Automatic Edition Laureus Sport For Good features a 100 metre water resistant titanium case back engraved with a design from 12-year-old Melissa Mejía Castilla from Colombia, entitled “Vivir en Armonía” or Living in Peace. Beneath the drawing is the IWC automatic 32111 automatic winding movement with 21 jewels, a frequency of 28,800vph and a bountiful power reserve of 120 hours. The Swiss made calibre also fuels the hours, minutes, seconds and date complications on the blue dial. Following suit to all IWC’s pilot’s watches, the dial guarantees exceptional legibility with oversized white Arabic numerals, black propeller-shaped hour and minute hands with white Superluminova inserts and a red-tipped seconds hand. To complete the all-blue aesthetic of the IWC Pilot’s Laureus Sport For Good Limited Edition, a blue rubber strap with matching textile inlay is added.
